((E)<br>March 31, 1957 marked a special day for music fans all over America when<br>CBS broadcast the TV debut of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s take on<br>“Cinderella" starring Julie Andrews, fresh from her triumph on Broadway<br>in “My Fair Lady,”  The always hilarious Kay Ballard, also a Broadway<br>veteran, played Cindy’s obnoxious shoe-grabbing stepsister.  Not only<br>are their classic performances captured on this rare Stereo LP of the<br>TV triumph but so are their autographs!  Miss Andrews signed the LP<br>after a screening at the American Cinematheque’s Aero Theatre in<br>Santa Monica, Califoria where her first husband, Tony Walton, was<br>being saluted, while Miss Ballard signed it a few years later in Palm Springs,<br>California where she lived until her death in 2019.  The record itself is in<br>Excellent (E) condition and is in its original Columbia Records sleeve.<br>Notice at top right is a previous owners signature.<br>PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide a COA (Certificate of Authenticity)<br>because we do not<br>need one.
