Apparently, in 1954 Sugar Ray ventured north to fight an exhibition in Canada and someone saved a ticket stub, a small (about the size of a basketball tall boy card) program card, and an advertisement from the newspaper for the fight. I've never seen anything from this fight before but here it is. I haven't any realistic idea as to how to price it so I am setting what I think is a reasonable minimum and letting it rip. If you really want it, make me an offer ABOVE the opening price (and I don't mean a penny above it, wise guy). I have set an automatic rejection floor price so any offer below it will be rejected automatically.
OK, I've decided to make everything clear to everyone right up front by answering the main questions I have gotten on other listings before you ask them again:
--
No, I am not interested in any offers
. Please do not PM me asking for my "best price": the answer is "no". A thousand times, no. I am not interested. If you like the item and think the price is fair then buy it; if you don't like it or think the price is unfair, don't PM me, just move along to a different item.
--
I am well aware of what the market is for most anything I sell;
trying to "educate" me on pricing is not a negotiation tool, it is just being a tool
. Don't be a tool.
--I don't care if you think a card is overgraded, undergraded, or graded just right, Goldilocks. Opinions are like...you know the rest.
--The photos are part of the description.
Learn them. Know them. Live them
.
If you see a photo of a card or item not named in the listing, don't have a thrombo, it is just because I didn't feel like making separate scans. The item listed in the title is the one and ONLY one you will get. Not reading this and consequently not understanding what you are buying is not a basis for my canceling a sale.
--No, I am not going to tell you my opinion of the item. If you are grown up enough to buy an expensive item then put on the big boy pants and make your own decision. If that does not appeal to you, just move along to the next item.
--No, I do not know what someone else might grade a card I sell. If you want a graded card from a specific company, then BUY ONE OF THOSE.
--
No, I will not ship internationally except through the eBay Global Shipping Program. Look, I know that there are many great, honest, trustworthy people outside the USA who would never dream of lying about not receiving an item. But there are some lying, thieving pigs too, so the good folks get lumped in with the scoundrels because I have no way of knowing the difference.
--When you do contact me a little basic courtesy is always appreciated and politely reciprocated; nasty messages are ignored and then mercilessly mocked on hobby chat boards. I am a big mocker (those of you who speak Yiddish will appreciate that one).
--No, I will not engage in customs fraud. I mark an item on the export paperwork as worth precisely what I sold it for.
So, if you come from a place with a high VAT or other customs duty and you still want the item, remember to factor your taxes into your decision.
--No Partial Refunds! If something breaks in transit or is wrong, contact me and I will authorize a return. What I won't do is negotiate a lower price with you over an alleged defect.
--No, I don't do sales tax fraud so don't even ask. Taxes are the price we pay for civilization, so just pay your taxes and quitcherbitchen.
--I combine shipping for purchases with an automatic discount rule. Good for you, sucks for me...
--If I don't receive payment within a week of the close of an auction I have set my account to open a non-paying bidder case automatically. Just man up and pay for what you purchased,
player
.
So, now that we're clear on that...
